Graphical borders help!

Ok, I have found the contribution for the graphical borders, but I still need some help as I'm not sure that is what I need to do what I want to do. I want to make my site look very similar to this:

So, the first thing I need help tackling is how do I make a dashed line for a border around all the boxes? And how do I make a dashed border around all of my product images?
