chooch
anyone seen this. I have one site and another site's menu is appearing down the left hand side of mine. My site is a hacked oscommerce setup. 2.2 oscommerce with some extra bits - been up for about a year with no problems. Both sites are on the same server according to my webhost company. my site http://www.hebrideancreations.com other site http://booksforcooks.com.au/shop.php Who would want to hack your site and link it to another site? Whoever set up your site for you holds the key - it is down to the database that was added to your store. Some aspects (column left/product menu) of it are the same as another database that the site designer did for the books store in australia. Nothing is hacked - ask the designer to sort it out for you. Those things can happen when the includes/configure.php file is not configured properly in the catalog folder. Upon receiving fixes and advice, too many people don't bother to post updates informing the forum of how it went. Until of course they need help again on other issues and they come running back! Why receive the information you require in good faith for free, only to then have the attitude to ignore the people who gave it to you? There's no harm in saying, 'Thanks, it worked'. On the contrary, it creates a better atmosphere. CHOOCH

Jack_mcs
You're most likely using the tmp directory for cache. That is a shared directory on the server and you can pick up parts of other sites that way. If you are going to use the cache option, be sure to set the directory to one that is within your shop. bkellum
I agree with Jack. Probably something as simple as your cache directory. Bill Kellum Sounds Good Productions STS Tutorials & more: STSv4.6, STS Add-ons (STS Power Pack), STS V4 Forum STS Forum FREE TEMPLATE
Rachael w.
Happened to me in the very begining...turns out two databases with the same name on the same server tend to get mixed up. Luckily I noticed it before I got too far with my site and was able to rename the database. I cant say that this is what is happening with you but I just wanted to share how and why it occured with my site.
