what is the sample payment module used for, testing only?

 

how would I go about using OsC to collect the sales, billing and shipping info normally but not use an online processing provider as my merchants account has provided me with a POS set up here on my local computer

The smaple payment modules has two good funtions.

 

For crafty folk, it can be used as a template to create new payment modules.

 

For store owners it is a good way to perform test orders while setting up your shop.

 

To take orders without doing live processing use the Credit Card, COD, or Check/MOney order. Each of these simple collect the data nessacary for you to handle offline.
