Guest
Anyway to Add a mass of manufactures? I have over 100 Brands to add. All their logos are loaded into the image folder and I am slowly adding them through the Admin Manufacturers page. Too slow. Is there a limit as to how many products I can load? Thanks in advance. A clean desktop really is a clear indication of a sick mind.

A clean desktop really is a clear indication of a sick mind. Go to you myphpadmin and dowmload the manufacturers table content (there is an "export" tab at the top). choose csv for microsoft excel (edition windows), and click go. repeat this with the table manufacturers_info table DO a BACKUP OF YOUR DATABASE NOW. DID YOU DO A BACKUP OF YOUR DATABASE YET? OK LET'S MOVE ON! Then, open Excel, and file>open. If you can't open these file, change the .csv extension to .txt manufacturers: add all your manufacturers and images urls there give each manufacturer a differnt id manufacturers info: copy the list of ids of the previous file in this one, populate the language id column with the number you already have for the provious records (most likely a "1") If you want to have urls for manufacturers, there will be a little bit of work to match the ids of the two files Save everything in csv , then go back to your myphpadmin, and click the import tab, chose the appropriate file and there we go! You may have to play with the delimiters as I did, but it's pretty easy. Good luck... and BACKUP!

Tappa Tappa tappa Tap Tap. Your answer being somewhat childish - should I say narrow-minded - I'm just wondering if it was worth my time trying to help you. I have a big G5 (no that's not a car) if that can make you feel better, and yes there is ONE microsoft app on it: Excel, that also runs on Apple products sorry. If you want to spend hours with your 100+ manufacturers because you don't like Bill Gates, that's up to you. Good luck for your project.
