tbbd Posted October 10, 2002 Posted October 10, 2002 In the install text for the admin feature, it says that I am responsible for adding my own security measures to keep anybody from accessing the admin pages. How can I do this?
Aragon127 Posted October 10, 2002 Posted October 10, 2002 you have to password protect the admin directory. If you have you cpanel just use web protect. Otherwise, look in the faq section on the main osc page. There's directions there.
tbbd Posted October 10, 2002 Author Posted October 10, 2002 Thanks a lot, I have CPanel and used the web protect to put a pwd on admin directory, worked great, thanks much
Aragon127 Posted October 10, 2002 Posted October 10, 2002 From CPANEL's documentation: cPanel is a fully-featured web-based control panel that allows you to manage your domain through a web interface. The idea is to transfer as much of the control and responsibility of managing your web site to you. You have the ability to manage all aspects of email, files, backup, FTP, CGI scripts, and web site statistics
