d4funky1 Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Hi, Firstly, is the pop-up image the only image size you have? or have these been re-sized for you?
Guest Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 I just figured this out today after a few days of frustration. Decide which is more important to your site, image width or height. I have tall objects to show. All my images are 100 px wide and height is up to Photoshop. Go into your Admininstration -> Configuration -> Images => delete the values for either width or height. So if you don't bother resizing your images in Photoshop or other then the code will make it fit into the 100 px wide thumnail I mentioned above. When you click to enlarge you get to see the whole pic not the thumbnail. Loading them into your image folder helps speed up the whole process.

Mine is a colaboration of many and then a homeade graphic and lots of blood, sweat, and tears, oh and coffee. have you considered installing the lighbox option, you can see it in my live store http://www.mazoo.co.uk/art/ its a nice java effect when you enlarge the image. regards Kathryn.
shantz333 Posted February 12, 2007 Author Posted February 12, 2007 Hey guys thanks for your feedback. I actually got my template from templatemonster but i made alot of changes to the graphics using photoshop and just changing the source files. I got a guy to install a thumbnail mod for like $80 it looks really good now. And Kathryn that light effect is really really cool. The problem is I am such a rookie at this, I am only good with graphics and have no idea how to install Mods. Thanks Again
Guest Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Kathryn: I take it that is you in the pic with the blue painting with the sun? That's some awsome art. I was thinking of donating my old graphics tablet to my 14 year old neice. She's showing some promise and I need a graphics person. She may be cheap someday. Anyway, where did you get that lightbox java effect? That's my next task after figuring out a bug is to make enough white space around my pop up images.
shantz333 Posted February 12, 2007 Author Posted February 12, 2007 Hey Webskipper, I am pretty good with graphics and could help you out if you need anything. Let me know, cheers.

Hi Webskipper, Yes thats me in the pic, check out http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,4383/ for the lightbox effect. it's quick and easy to install. Kathryn.
nst888 Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Hi, Sorry to butt into your conversation but I just thought I'd say that I've installed the imagemagic contrib on my sites which resizes images on the fly so you don't have to go around creating your own thumbnails etc. It works really well and the image quality is excellent. Guest Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 You need to populate your pop up titles for mouseovers. Not sure how you do that, but right now when I mouse over your images and buttons it just displays a blank text box, which may indicate a space in the field or a blank field (sorry, don't know for sure).

Kathryn. Whiterider: Hi Kathryn Question 1: I click on your link as shown below for the lightbox effect with java: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,4383/ I could not figure out how to make a lightbox because when login to my account. They ask me to browse for the zip file. and how you install to your website hosting and where to put the java code? Also, when i login there is a title and text to add in... what is that means? Question 2: My last question on your site http://www.mazoo.co.uk/art/ is very cool... how did you do from the left hand side navigation for the text? For example, when i move the mouse over the text is hightlight in bleu as a button click. I guess you're using javascript such as mouse over? Thanks, Kevin
