Pointing domain to Oscommerce site with no index.html file in public_html

Yes this is my first Oscommerce site, but all went well on the install. Since everything is loaded into public_html/shop how will I get the site to load once I point my domain to the DNS of my hosting company without an index.html or default.asp file in public_html?

If you don't plan to use the root directory for something else, the best way to do it is to move your shop to the root so it loads automatically. But if you don't want to do that, you need to add a redirect in the root to the shop directory. Don't do this using an html redirect though. If your host uses CPanel you can create the redirect from there (other control panels may have this option too).
