I have been battling with Oscommerce for some time myself to be honest and I didnt even have to start from scratch like yourself as my site was purchased as a template with stock and pictures already preloaded. Even so I have found it extremely hard to use! Some of the aspects of using oscommerce were made a little more user friendly by following some of the tutorials which I have found at the following websites: http://oscart.seiretto.com/basic_oscommerce_tutorial.html http://www.demodemo.com/tutorials_osc.html http://www.b2services.com/oscommerce_tutorials.html I hope these help.
