Hi!

I'm trying to get tep 2.1 up and running on my page. One problem i got is this: Here in Germany, if you're running a shop and selling to end users, you have to present prices already including taxes.

Unfortunatly tep is using prices only excluding taxes wich it calculates on top when the user places an order.

How can i tell tep to use prices including taxes and stop it from adding taxes at the end of the order procession?

Thanks in advance

1. There is a german forum available where germany-specific problems can be handled better: www.oscommerce.de

2. The 2.2-CVS version will work better in your situation.

3. Taxes are not that simple. If you run a shop in germany and all your prices are including VAT(MwSt.) you will run into problems.

If a customer in USA orders on your site he/she does not have to pay VAT - how would you handle that in your setup?

Also - the laws in germany say that you MUST show all taxes on the order page. When you have products with different VAT-rates (7% or 16%) you will run into problems when you only have tax-included prices stored in your database.

We have spent a lot of work on getting taxes right. There is a reason for that. :-)
