Ipower Web osCommerce Installation- Need Hand Held

I Installed osCommerce from my account at Ipower web and I am looking for a guide to see what I am doing or my hand held tightly.

 

When I view my first item I get this:

 

1054 - Unknown column 'p.products_id' in 'on clause'

 

select count(p.products_id) as total from products p, products_description pd, manufacturers m left join specials s on p.products_id = s.products_id where p.products_status = '1' and pd.products_id = p.products_id and pd.language_id = '1' and p.manufacturers_id = m.manufacturers_id and m.manufacturers_id = '6'

 

Ok, a messed up pic and description was there yesterday. Now what?

 

In gereral, Where do I go in and tweak the backgrounds, fonts, and make it look my site?

 

I am used to doing web design in the raw and not these wysiwig programs but, I'm done playing with the PlayPal shopping carts. Can I use my CSS somehow?

 

Is there an Idiot's guide to osCommerce?

 

The http://wiki.oscommerce.com/ is not working.

 

Any help would be appreciated.
