I was wondering if anyone knows if there is way to link a movie database like IMDB.com descriptions when i post movies to sell without copy and pasting all the information each time. if anyone ever came across something like this to work in oscommerce please let me know. Thank you for any help. Yes, there's a method one can use called screenscraping... I've done it many times in the past for harvesting things like inventory levels from my vendor sites since I was a dropshipper, but I didn't want to manually sync up my stock levels with theirs for all products, plus I wanted it done every 30-60 minutes... A script could be written to crawl imdb and harvest all of the movie descriptions and whatnot 1 time, just to stock your database and save you the time... If you have a thirst for knowledge, I'd start looking into learning regular expressions for parsing the html output, and php's regex and file-handling functions :) Richard.
