So is this subdomain already in existence and listing products then, and you just want to pull one of those products at random for display in a little side-column box in your main domain? If that's the case, are the main domain and the subdomain sharing a common database for product info? If so, you don't need to pull any data from the subdomain, just pull it straight from the database... If they're not, you could either establish a connection from within osc to the subdomain's database, or else make an infobox that has an iframe in it, and insert the subdomain's url as the page src, but you'd have to make the subdomain (or at least one page on it) output in a manner that's friendly to that small space...
