ActiveTuning Posted October 9, 2002 Posted October 9, 2002 If I update an order from like pending to processing, it sends an e-mail...but if I add any comments, it doesn't send that. Does anybody know how I make it so that the e-mail includes any comments I include?
veverkap Posted October 9, 2002 Posted October 9, 2002 http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/faq.php: No "bump" postings are allowed, which bring a posting to the top of the thread list. If a posting did not receive a reply, post it again (in the same thread) with more detailed information. I am also looking for the answer to this question, so we're both going to have to wait until someone else answers it. Patrick
♥olby Posted October 9, 2002 Posted October 9, 2002 It cant be done at the moment, but it can be handled like this: Add your comments in the Order comments (they are saved with the status update). Add a fixed notice in the email going to your customer before the link to the account, saying some thing like: Check out your order comments for more details. Not the best solution - but it could be a work arund until ......? Best Regards olby
ActiveTuning Posted October 9, 2002 Author Posted October 9, 2002 Sorry veverkap, didn't know that. Thanks olby, definitely will do that.
mattice Posted October 9, 2002 Posted October 9, 2002 couldn't you just grab the $HTTP_POST_VARS['comments'] (or whatever it is called) and add it to the tep_mail function??? Have not looked at the file but I hope you get the idea. "Politics is the art of preventing people from taking part in affairs which properly concern them"
