Help me please! Payment options...

Hi,

My store has been online for a couple of months..but still having issues.

Here are a few of them..

 

I have opted for 3 payment options: Paypal (0) Money Order (1) and COD (3)

When I go in as a customer this is what the payment option shows..." This is the only Payment Option", but shows NO PAYMENT OPTIONS at all!!!

 

Payment did show for 1 category at one stage, but now that is not the case.

I have gone over and over the scenario...but have no idea why this has happened.

A couple of weeks ago a customer (my first one) purchased some items, and paid via Paypal...no probs.

I went in last week also to go right through until the Paypal form appeared...everything ok.

But now...nothing.

 

I had stared to direct friends/customers to my shop...but now not much point if they can't pay for their purchases :-" .

 

Also:

2. Where do I enter the shipping/returns , privacy statement etc ?

3. Can someone help me with the product attributes drop down menus...and at what stage to add this option to my products?

4. It takes 7! steps for someone to leave a product review and 7 steps to go through checkout.

Is there an easier way? Also I think it very daunting to be faced with a huge form to fill out first up when you go into the shopping cart to buy! not everyone wants to give away ALL that info first up.

 

Any ideas and suggestions...sorry this post is so long...but I am a newbie, very green, and tearing my hair out.. :blink:

it might be something with your database (configuration table). Assuming the payment modules show ok when you check the modules->payment in your osc admin, you could use phpmyadmin and check for duplicates in the configuration table for the payment modules (MODULE_PAYMENT_). Also check the MODULE_PAYMENT_INSTALLED entry in this table. Make sure it list all the files for the payment gateways.

thanks for that...but as I am not very cluey on the language, could you please explain this some more?

Where do I go to 'phpmyadmin'? and check for duplicates?

Well payment options are tied to a zone.So set those the zone in admin payment configuraton to none for zones and then check.

Now, I have another question:

 

I went through to checkout with the Paypal order form appearing...BUT the currence is in USD when I want it to be AUD!

 

How do I change the currency?

I don't want my aussie customers to have to pay conversion rates at their bank... and I don't want to have to pay paypal conversion rates when I download the money out of my paypal a/c.
