Orders not showing up in orders listing, but in table and avail via customer order link

The subject gives an idea of my problem. Customers can create orders just fine, the email goes out, the order link in the email goes to a page which displays the order just fine. However none of the admin views for orders show any results, the reports show none, etc. Browsing the data the orders are all there in the oders, orders_products table, etc. This is a new install.

 

Any hints would be appreciated.

any error messages ?

so when you click on orders link, it shows the header, left menu, right menu and footer ?

does it show the headings for the orders ?

David, the header, footer, left and right menus etc show up fine. Ditto heading for 'orders' just no result. No errors.

Ideas to trouble shoot? as I said, the orders are there in the orders table, and a specific order is avail via the link emailed out to the customer.

oh, and not using pay pal but goemerchant, with their plug in which is based on the authorize.net one.
