product prices showing as zero

Oscommerce newbie, apologies if this has been covered in another post... the search did not show anything relevant.

 

When adding products under the categories I have set up, the price always shows up as 0. Even though I have set a tax rate and a net price - it automatically calculates the gross price, but when looking at the product on the site - its always show a zero price. Any hints suggestions of things I need to check would be appreciated!

Ben,

There have been a lot of discussion about it in the past. Try to (re)search them again.

 

The one obvious problem which I can think of would be the currency conversion. If you are using multi currency in your shop.

 

Another could be setting the correct prices (with decimal values)

 

It is tricky but search here and you will find it.

edit your catalog\includes\languages\english.php You will see with that file the default currency is USD. Change it to whatever you're using. On the admin end setup the default currency accordingly. osc Admin->Localization->Currencies. If you still see 0, try the configuration->My Store->Switch To Default Language Currency switch.

Thank you. This worked. It would have been really hard for me to figure out the bit about changing the USD to AUD. I am eternally grateful!!!
