FTP from one server/site to another, wanted

Due to appalling downtime and poor support with my present hosting company :angry: , I'm moving to another hosting company. Rather than download my site to my hard-drive and back-up to the new company (over a very slow connection). Is there a programme that I could use to copy the files from one company to the next without downloading first?

 

BTW I do have back-ups on my hard-drive, so if I do have to do it the traditional way, at least I could skip the download bit. I currently have around 600M of files on my site.

You would need an FXP capable FTP software program (ie. FlashFXP) and both the server of your old and new host must be supporting it.

No point me asking the ex-host, as knowing their spiteful comments in the past, I'll be wasting my my time. But I will seek out your recomendation to see what its all about.
