Removing the oscommerce 2.2 statement from welcome

I need to know what is removed to get rid of the oscommerce ver 2.2 statement on the welcome screen below my greeting.

You will need to change the default.html file which can be found within the /catalog/includes/language/english/. You will need to do the same change for each language you make available.

I tried to remove it on this page but when saved I got an error message when I checked the page and my greeting changed to Text_Main. I removed the Product_Revision and that it when this occurred. What should I have removed.
