Hudbarnett Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 Hi I have recently install ocCommerce and for some reason when i upload an image for a product. the image does not load. It looks like the image has not been uploaded to the directory but it is. Also when you try and view the image using a url it does not work. Here i an example: http://s137869750.websitehome.co.uk/catalo...ages/BULLIT.jpg Anyone got an idea?

If that doesn't work you will need to use 777 although it is not recommended. If neither of those work, try setting the permission on the individual images that don't show up. Just between us, remember there are only 10 kinds of people in the world; those who understand binary and those who don't!! Remember, learning is a "do-it-yourself" experience; although, not necessarily a "do-it-BY-yourself" experience. The quickest way to learn is to forget to BACKUP!

Azure Moon Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Can anyone help.... Please :'( Hi Hudbarnett, I'm a newbie to OsCommerce and I don't know if I can help, but I thought I'd tell you what I had done. I had kind of the same problem when I tried uploading some of my images. It said uploading was successful when adding a product/item, but when I previewed it, instead of showing the picture, it just showed a white rectangle with a red X in the upper left hand corner. I went through the same thing with checking the permissions and umpteen other things. Turned out that there were characters/letters in my file names that were causing that...like the # sign and spaces between letters (I'm new and had saved my pics so they'd be easy for me to keep track of which item was which, not knowing that it would cause problems). So I renamed my files and re-uploaded them and it then they uploaded perfectly. Again, being a newbie, I don't know if this will help, but I figured it was worth a shot. Hope this helps. Brightest Blessings, Azure Moon
