wizardsandwars Posted October 8, 2002 Posted October 8, 2002 All you need is version 2.2, some webspace that has php4 and a Mysql database, a domain name, and a paypal account. It's pretty easy to install. Just download 2.2, unzip and ftp to your webspace (or vise versa). Then type www.<your domain>/catalog/install in your browser. Guest Posted October 8, 2002 Posted October 8, 2002 If you plan to get a good host go with www.phpwebhosting. they are use their own server and have un-metered bandwidth. they have everything that oscommerce needs. Highly reccomended.

They will install oscommerce for you for free, give you 500megs of space, 10gigs of bandwidth, and everything you need for $7 a month. Plus their first 6 months are free (except a $9 setup). I just thought it was an outstnading value, and I wish someone had headed me in the right diretion when I first got started.
