zalik22
Hi, Any ideas on how to increase my page rank? For some reason, it went to 0. I recently updated my key words. I think I had a page rank of 3 at one point, then it went to 0. Thanks for the help. My website url is in my profile. Any other ideas to promote my page? If you happen to sell similar products and want to exchange links, just fill out the form on my links page. Thanks for any help!
Jack_mcs
PR is only determine by the number and qualtiy of links to your site. If you want to increase it, increase those links. Also, it is not uncommon for a sites PR to disappear. It usually returns after a week or so. I don't think any of the incoming/outgoing links have changed, so I don't understand why the page rank disappeared. It's been removed a month or two ago and not come back. Thanks! Jack_mcs
Hi Jack, Thanks for always replying to my posts. I don't think any of the incoming/outgoing links have changed, so I don't understand why the page rank disappeared. It's been removed a month or two ago and not come back. Thanks! The short answer was given by Michael. The longer one is that there are quite a few reasons that google might change the PR, many are just guesses. All you can do is to keep your links updated (just because there is a link on your site to some other site doesn't mean the other site as a link to you). If you are using Links Manager, use the Links Check option to keep track of these. You should also continue to add relevant links. Eventually, google will re-post a new PR. If your site is ready, the PR will be hihger. mpiscopo
You can outsource link building to a freelancer if you don't have the time. You can post your project and receive bids on freelance websites. Pricing is very good for freelancers, just be sure you are clear in stating your requirements. There several good freelance websites, I use Elance and have been happy with the responses. I've actually just started a link building project where I will have a company develop 25 one way inbound links a month for me. Cost is around 150 USD. It could be that the spider had trouble accessing your site at the time, check google cache for this (but then it works from various servers so the one you check may not be up to date. Also one of the links you had could now be classed as "bad" or something similar. Tricky business lol
