Problem with instalation. Don't go after step 2

In attemting to installa oscommerce, I have changed my global php.ini archive to allow register_globals = on, and changed chmod of includes/instal/configuration.php to 777

 

After giving my http://IP_address/catalog/install, the procedure starts (I use the actual IP address since the public DNS are not yet pointing to my domain. I am moving the oscommerce from one hosting company to another)

 

The welcome windows appears, and after clicking on Install a new online store, a second window appears that allow me to run a new installation

 

But after clicking on continue, nothing happens whatever I have checked or not the two possibilities: import catalog databases/ Automatic configuration

 

That window remains unchanged. DOnt go a step forward
