WardClark
I'd like to add "Buy" (aka "Add to Cart") buttons and a robust shopping cart to an existing site. I've found several hosted cart services (sometimes called "split hosting") that initially appeared to do what I want, but each has failed to meet a specific need: pass a variable number of product attributes (e.g., color, size, personalized text) to the cart control the cart page layout to conform to the rest of the site provide payment gateway flexibility The open source nature of osCommerce seems attractive because, in theory, I can mold it to be what I want. (I'm willing to get my hands dirty digging into the code.) However, it not clear whether it's practical to use only the cart portion of osCommerce. I've seached the documentation and community forums, but I haven't found an example of anyone using just the cart. Should I use the osCommerce cart or continue my seach elsewhere?
