Absolutely Cannot Tie AuthorizeNet in with OSCommerce!

Hello,

I'm really not sure what to do here. My store is located here and I am so confused it's not funny.

So far I have done the following.

1.Got the look of my store how I want it.

2.Verified my info with authoriznet and set up all of the account settings there.

3.Logged into the OSCommerce module and configured the payment module for Authorize net as follows....

Credit Card Test Info:

CC#: 4111111111111111

Expiry: Any

Enable Authorize.net Module

True

Login Username

xxxeditedforobviousreasonsxxx

Transaction Mode

Production

Transaction Method

Credit Card

Customer Notifications

False

Merchant Notifications

True

Concern #1. Earlier today I uploaded new files to require CVV validation. Since I did this the payment module no longer asks me for my Authorizenet KEY password. I'm assuming it's stored???

I have NOT purchased a SSL certificate for my site but I'm thinking I dont need to since my cart appears secure and displays the addresses as https:// and not http:// so I'm assuming (hopefully correctly) that that is already o.k.

If you visit my store and attempt to order, after the checkout process you're presented with a message that says "There has been an error processing your credit card. Please try again."

I had ZERO idea this was going to be such an uphill battle to set something like this up with all of the manual code changes and contributions (that honestly half the time seem to screw things up worse and make for more error messages!!!). Not sure if you can point out mistakes I've made...I had really just hoped to be up and running and selling by now as I already have advertising going for the website and can't mke my store live til it works.

ANY help is greatly appreciated because this getting frustrating!

Thanks and let me know info you may need that I have not provided.

Thanks

Jay

You might want to try installing the authorize.net contribution. The stock one is quite outdated.

Jack,

Aren't there several Authorize.Net contributions? Is there a specific one or a link to it that you know of?

Thanks in advance.

I think this one is the only one being supported. I could be wrong though. On any contribution where there are multiple packages, you need to research which is best by going through their support threads.

Just an addition, I use authorize net and it works quite well. After installing log in to authorize.net and set it to test mode. It will email you the test results. You may also set test mode in OSC. If all is a go set to LIVE. Good luck.

Your website's shared ssl is not configured correctly in your includes/configure.php file. Contact your hosting company for the correct pathway to use for your website.

If you are using the Auhorize Net AIM contribution be aware that the Authroize Net 'test' server doesn't work. You need to get them to put your site live and then iron out any bugs.

Authorize Net requires that the site has SSL and that cURL is compiled into PHP. If everything els eis correct you may wish to look into cURL and see if that is working correctly.
