I can tell you that by default this won't work with oscommerce, unless it comes with some kind of plugin for oscommerce itself, and asks for your database info to make updates there... I did a quick search of the contribution section, and no one appears to have written any kind of interface for oscommerce <--> winvask, so my answer would be probably not... Richard. winvask
Hi, WinVask and OSCommerce works together as I (the developer of WinVask) has written a OSC plugin, we have many companies that use this plugin to get sales from OSC into our Invoice Application WinVask, but.: 1. You need to download & Install the OSCommerce ODBC and set it up correctly 2. You need to tell WinVask OSC plugin the name og your OSC ODBC Connection 3. You offcourse need to run the OSC Plugin (OSC.EXE) There is a Norwegian manual written for this plugin, and a lot of help & Answers on the WinVask forum (All in Norwegian I`m afraid ;) ) But to Answer your question.: 1. WinVask OSC Plugin searches the Order tables in OSC, when it find an order that is not transfered it picks that order and transfers it to WinVask. 2. Then it makes a Customer in WinVask from the Purchaser/Customert fields on that order (If one with this does not exist already in WinVask) 3. Same goes for Product WinVask uses prices, delivery adresses from OSC, so the only place you should have an updated price list / catalog is here. If WinVask has a product "Say DVD-Movie" that got a price og 10$, and you change it inb OSC to say 13$ WinVask will pick up the new price on Your WinVask Order as the price list in WinVask now is just for information, the direction is.: Orderline w/Price in OSC becomes a Orderline in WinVask w/Price (real sale) I do not write anything back to the OSC MySQL Database as of Now it is a one way transfer, when the installation is done in a correct manner it looks like the screen movie linked to below.: Demo of OSC Plugin (Norwegian example ...) For OSCommerce users in Norway this plugin as the following advantages.: 1. It is free 2. WinVask (Basis) is free 3. You can make Postal package reports with the build in report builder. 3. In the payd version of WinVask the user can design his own Invoices, and have stock control. There is also a ODBC driver for WinVask (Has to be purchased), and a customer of us has made a PHP script to write from WinVask Items back to OSC automaticly and syncronize stock and so forth back into OSC. We dont sell or support this however for the moment. Also WinVask is multi Langual and supports up to 9 languages at the same time, but for the time beeing only Norwegian and Danish are currently in the Language tabell (An English version vil be available later this year :) ) Cheers Tor-Bjarne
