Offering different delivery charges for each country including individual shipping charges

Hi,

 

I have installed the region based delivery charges so that I can assign a delivery charge to a product depending on the country the product will be delivered to. I also wanted a single charge for delivery and then use the region based delivery rates to add more onto the delivery charge depending on the delivery location.

 

- When a customer buys an item, the delivery charge is the individual shipping charge I have allocated.

- If the customer lives outside the UK, I want to add an additional charge to cover the delivery costs.

 

My question is, can I add 2 delivery charges together during the checkout process in the checkout_shipping.php file?

I've been thinking a little bit more about this and rather than enabling both delivery options at the same time, does anyone think that I should force the individual shipping charge of the product(s) in the basket to be added to the total price (in checkout_shipping.php), and then the region based shipping rates can be added accordingley.

 

I think this may be a good contribution.

 

Does anyone think this may be worthwhile?
