GT40Graham Posted January 28, 2007 Posted January 28, 2007 Hi. When I click on a Category in the Categories box, the page that opens has the heading "What's new here?" I know how to change this text but what I'd like to do is make this text match the actual category heading ie if the category is called "Aeroplanes" the page that opens should be headed "Aeroplanes" etc. Is this possible. I have searched but I could be missing the obvious. Regards, Graham.
thaberkern Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Hi, have you solved that problem? I need a solution for this too... Timo
KatiL Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Hi, I have been thinking same thing, how to change heading to be as same as the current category is. I found the place from index.php but does anyone know yet what is the right code fot it? I did get the current category id in heading with this <?php echo $current_category_id ?> but how I get it in string type, the text in ids' place. I'm very bad with PHP. I have tried this for several days. With kind regards Kati
GT40Graham Posted March 9, 2007 Author Posted March 9, 2007 Hi Guys. I did find the solution eventually using the term "dynamic" in the search. However since then, I've installed a contribution called Basic Meta Tags 1.1 which, amongst other useful changes, makes the category heading reflect the category contents whcih is what we want. This is the contribution: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,4115
KatiL Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Hi, That seems the right solutions  Thank you! Kati
