Noob needs help

Hello, I'm new to the board and OSCommerce, and have been running into a few problems that I'm hoping someone can help with.

I placed a background image on my board, but it's also in the center, where the Main Text goes. I want the background in the table to be black, and the background around it. I've checked in the CSS stylesheet, and changed what I thought would work but didn't. Am I not looking in the right place?

I also shrank the size of my shop using a mod/template, and now it's justified to the left, how do I center it?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Craig

what contribution did you use to change the width of your site?

i hate to do this to you, but i suggest undoing whatever youve done to change the width, and instead use this awesome simple contribution from Vger http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,2710

its very simple, and it gives you a lot of control over things like your main table background color etc. and it centers the shop for you.

What? Yeah, I can do that.

After hours of searching, I came accross that modification just before you mentioned it....very simple and easy to use.

Thank you so much for the help

Now....I'm trying to add sizes for a product, but can't figure that out either, any suggestions there?

check out the product attributes section in the catalog section in your admin. thats how you would add things like size, color etc. its sort of a cumbersome way of doing it, there are contributions to streamline it if you find it to be too much of a pain.

What? Yeah, I can do that.

On the topic of attribute managers, I saw a pretty sweet one a while back that used Ajax, in fact I'll dig up the URL for it...

AJAX Attribute Manager - and the installation is supposed to take less than 5 minutes :)
