shkad14
I looked at my page speed. This is the warning I recieved: ""Warning! The total size of this page is 355866 bytes, which will load in 71.12 seconds on a 56Kbps modem. Consider reducing total page size to less than 30K to achieve sub eight second response times on 56K connections. Pages over 100K exceed most attention thresholds at 56Kbps"" How do I get my page bytes down? I reduced my product images from 40 to 9. That helped, but not enough. I am very novice at this stuff. Any easy easy ways and instructions on getting this down? Thanks

ozcsys
How do I optimize? What is a thumbnail contribution? osC uses html to resize the images for the thumbnails. While this changes the dimensions of the images it does not change the weight (filesize) You can either change the weight of the images you are uploading (optimize) or you can install a thumbnail contribution that will decrease the weight of the thumbnails for you. Personally I use the thumbnail contribution found HERE but there are others in the contribution section of the site. The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem?
