Syndicating the menu boxes on the main website

Hi. I've been trying to get the menu boxes to be syndicated onto the main pages of my website and cannot get them to work even after duplicating the header / footer / application_top files and changing the paths so that they should work on a folder outside (or below) the catalog folder.

The main boxes i want to put across are "manufacturers", "what's new", and the "quick find" so that they will be nestled on the right-hand side of the main site (http://www.dinkidi.com.au). The Catalog Anywhere tool isn't quite what I was looking for as it placed the entire catalog rather than just one or two items and it didn't display the prices correctly with tax.

Does anyone have experience with syndicating those boxes or know a way of achieving this?
