I'm setting up a new site, and I forgot what the hell i made the admin username or password. I tried using phpmyadmin to look for it, even dumped the database so I could scroll through it...

but I have absolutely no idea where to look for it or how.

Any help would be appreciated...

Hello,

have you using .htaccess file for username and password or using database ?

By the way, whatever you are using... it is not possible to recover the password by simply looking database or by looking htpasswd file for password...because they are in encypted form.

Thanks

yes... when installed through the control panel on by my host... ht. access is used...

I just did a ton of work on the design so I don't want to install this all over again...

I have the same problem. My .htaccess file only contains the following:

AuthType Basic

AuthName "OS Commerce Administration"

AuthUserFile "/home/bytebox/.htpasswds/shop/admin/passwd"

require valid-user

How do i change the password?
