RLW Posted January 22, 2007 Share Posted January 22, 2007 Hi, We have just had a customer order a downloadable Windows Media Audio file from our Web store, using PayPal for purchase. We have received confirmation of payment from PayPal. However our customer's order is not listed in her account details under 'My Account'. She has stated that there was no download link provided for her to be able to download the file. We have had other customers pay for the same file using their credit cards and there is never a problem. The order shows on their account, and the download link is active after purchase. Any suggestions as to what might be going wrong? Also, this PayPal purchase does not appear on our Orders list - but the customer appears on the Customers list. Any suggestions would be very helpful. jasonabc Posted January 23, 2007 Share Posted January 23, 2007 Either: 1) Install this - it will save the order in the system regardless of what people do or don't on PayPal: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,2679 2) You can also specify a return URL on the PayPal side so when a customer completes checkout on PP, they are returned to your store and the order is created (which is not happening currently). Sign into paypal Under the My Account Tab, click the link to your Profile under your Selling Preferences colum click the link to your Website Payment Preferences. This is where you will edit your return to website information. Read the full page carefully. I've followed it all as best I can, but would like to test that the shop is operating okay now using PayPal. PayPal of course won't let me send money to myself, so how do I test that all's working okay? Is there a test site somewhere I can use? kingskid70 Posted February 7, 2007 Share Posted February 7, 2007 i am TOTALLY LOST!! I have no idea what is being said here. A customer went to my store,created an account,purchased an ebook, checked out,I recieved notice of payment into my paypal account but he did not get the download even after clicking on "return to merchant" I just want to know how to get it to activate the download so that my customer will be able to get the book. I know nothing avout controllers,php's or anything. I am a total newbie in this. I don't want to mess up my store any more than it is.
