timsharp03
I'm a complete newbie to Oscommerce, I'm used to coding small e-commerce sites in Dreamweaver adding all features as required. Oscommerce looks a little scary because it does such a lot for you and it feels like I'm not in control. I have a client that wants to sell a range of items to the general public and later on offer a range to wholesalers. They want the wholesale area to be inaccessible by the public and the products available to wholesalers will be generally be larger quantities of the general public ones (eg minimum order of 10 packs say to get a discount). Is there a way to show 1 set of products when not logged in (or logged in as general public) and another when logged in as a wholesaler? I wondered if there is a way to tag products as they are entered so they display for 1 type of customer but not the other, or even have difference categories that are only viewable when logged in? Am I being over optimistic that I will be able to do this without having to do some programming?

Scorpion Cart
Take a look here http://www.oscommerce.com/community?contri...mp;category=all especially at the SPPC contributions.
spax
The excellent Seperate Pricing Per Customer (SPPC) contribution sounds like what you need. Check this link for the contribution but also look at the "bolt ons" you can have to enhance it. You can have products display for different groups, quantity price breaks, quick price updates and more. http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...rch,sppc/page,
timsharp03
Am I being over optimistic that I will be able to do this without having to do some programming? Thanks for the replies. Looks like it will do it fine. Now I just have to find out how to edit or create templates so my site will look like my customer wants.
