Install Problem

Recommended Posts

I know I'm not doing something right but I've done every thing I have read and still can't figure it out. ON installation index.php forwards me to install.php and it asks if I want to import catalog database and install default configs but it will not go any further. No matter what it gets stuck on step2 and does nothing. If I remove the check boxes from the two options and press submit it refreshes the page and returns the checks.

Anyone have any ideas that I could try.

Thanks

Hello all.

BUMP

I have the same problem and just cannot figure it out.

Windows 2003 / IIS version 6

PHP 5.2 seems to work fine and can read a test.php file

File permissions set to full access

I keep getting stuck at step 2.

I appreciate any and all help.

  • 1 month later...

I am having the same problem with the latest release. I go to do a clean install of the oscammerce cart. Gets to step to for new installation and will not continue.

I have a slightly different set up than the rest of the posts.

I am on a Windows based machine 3.0 ghz with 2gb dual channel mem.

160 gb SATA on my root for my web server.

web server is

Apache 2.x

PHP5

MySql (latest stable)

Any help would be great. Maybe if you could point me to the rigth page to fix the code to continue... thanks

Install gets stuck on page 2

---------------------------

The most common cause for installation getting stuck in step 2

is that most recent PHP installations have register_long_arrays = OFF

This needs to be turned to ON in the php.ini file (you will need to

stop and restart your server to get this change to take effect.)
