Changing Look Of OS Sites

Hello Guys, Im new to the community and would like to know how to make changes to:

 

1 . The look of the sites ( I read someware that this is done using css) ( how do I learn to use ? )

2. Add annimated headers ( flash banners etc )?

3. Video Files withing the pages?

 

 

Has any one used templates that have been created and sold by 3 Party venders?

if you check out my store (www.iniquityclothing.com) thats what can be done with modification, that is a template though that has been installed, getting to grips with the highly modded php files is difficult, go to the STS contribution that will get the ball rolling!
