Modules won't update/edit when new data is entered

Hello All,

I have configured and install oscommerce onto my webserver.

I am able to add products into the catalogue.

I am able to customize the configration settings.

The problem is the following:

I cannot change the standard shipping rate from $5.00 to lets say $7.00

I cannot modify the authorize.net settings.

I cannot modify the paypal settings.

When I change the [email protected] in paypal.com to my email address and hit insert, it does not update, it goes to the default.

I cannot make any modifications to anything under the 'Modules' Tab in the administration page.

I am not sure if this is a permission problems, database problem or what may have you.

I have chmod 777 */* the entire catalogue tree as well as the admin dir.

Can anyone point me in the right direction inorder to modify the default settings?

PHP

Apache

Fedora Core 4

After doing futher research I have found the settings are stored into the congriation table in the database however, I can manually change the paypal settings via the SQL settings but for some unkown reason, I cannot change the settings from the administrative panel in catalog/admin...

Prehaps this is a bug in the new release of OS-Commerce?

Theres a known glitch in the 060817 update release that may cause the problem. The answer could be found in the news & announcement section.
