Guest
Hey guys I am wondering. For some reason my admin pages in my webshop arnt password protected. I dare not to go public with the shop before I have solved this. I can not find anywhere how I should password protect them. Today, if you type in the url to the admin page .. i.e www.mysite.com/oscommerce2/catalog/admin you will be able to admin the webshop without even typing in a password anywhere. What can I do to fix this? regards - peter

GemRock
...Today, if you type in the url to the admin page .. i.e www.mysite.com/oscommerce2/catalog/admin... Before you go extra length to pw protect the admin pages, you could, for the time being, try to change the admin folder to some random letters, e.g., gdsYatWe67, so that only you know where it would be and bookmark it. Remember to update the configure.php file to reflect on the change of the admin folder, thou. Your site control panel, if you got one, should give you the option to pw protect folders/directories. You'd get double protection if you change the admin folder name & pw protect it.
