samwell Posted January 18, 2007 Share Posted January 18, 2007 Hi folks, been thinking of setting up an online store but there are a few things i definitely want from a CMS. osCommerce looks great and being free makes it even more appealing, however I dont mind paying for an e-comm cms is thats what it takes to get the site how i want it.... The main thing I want to be able to do is have integrated credit card billing so the user never leaves the site, or at least wouldnt be aware they have left so the pages would look exactly the same..... there would be no "click here to go to Protx to make your payment etc. etc." Can anyone recommend any services that can do this?? And on a similar note, must customers always 'register' when they use the checkout of an osCommerce site? Cheers peeps Sam Replies: osc can be changed to match your site exactly most payment gateways do have functions that will allow secure processing without leaving your site yep, their is a contrib that will allow for no registration needed for purchases. other goodies not in base install. vouchers/gift certs, affiliate programs, multi stores, and rss. Just click the shopping basket and empty it on the order confirmation page. There's no protx payment at the shop although protx does offer something you want. i.e., customers do not leave your site during the whole process of ordering. Not sure if your checkout was all just standard osCommerce but I particularly liked some bits like the highlighting when you select postal method, nice!
