It's my first time with oscommerce and I use the option of automatic install by siteguard. I have tried by myself and it didn't work.

I install it in a directory www.myname.com/shop

and when it installes I get the following:

hop/admin/includes/configure.php [ERROR! ]

shop/includes/languages/english.php configured

shop/includes/languages/espanol.php configured

shop/includes/languages/german.php configured

shop/admin/includes/languages/english.php [ERROR! ]

and when I go to the shop I get:

Server Requirement Error: register_globals is disabled in your PHP configuration. This can be enabled in your php.ini configuration file or in the .htaccess file in your catalog directory.

what can be done ?

why isn't it working ?

I am not familiar with Site Guard but the register globals error means your host has that option turned off and your shop needs it to run. You can install the Register Globals contribution or enable the option by adding a php.ini file to your shop to override it. Search the forums for php.ini if you want to do the latter.
