Admin Username & Password Change?

Hello,

 

I'm currently a user of the OSCommerce store solution and wanted to have the admin username and password changed however am unable to find anywhere within the administration to change this? Or which file/MySql database table to edit..?

 

Any help/advice on this would be much appreciated.

It is generally changed from within your hosts control panel. Look for a section for password protect.

I guess the quickest way is as follows:

 

1. log into admin

2. click adminstrators within configuation (menu)

3. insert new admin

4. delete the old one

 

oh, OSCommerce store solution - whats that then? If its OSCommerce then this should work fine.

 

Is this what you ment, or do you mean you want to reset the admin and password within the OSCommerce database?

 

If you ment above, you need to go into the admistrators database table - the username can be changed as normal, in order to do the password you will need to run the new password through (i think) an MD5 Hash.

 

Either way, I just setup a new admin with password of: password, and this is the hashed value:

Just make sure you change it asap!!
