Display Prices with Tax set to False, but not working

Greeting fellow oscommerce patrons...

I do have a problem, and I searched the forums, but no answer...

I log into admin, choose "my store" and click on "Display Prices with Tax", and choose "false", submit.

I go to Categories, choose my category, add/edit a product and the NET and GROSS aren't the same. It is trying to calc taxes.

I've since deleted tax zones, no change, deleted tax class, no change, deleted tax rates, no change.

I've went into the database to view the attributes for DISPLAY_PRICES_WITH_TAX and it is set to false.

I'm quite baffled here, any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

In your product information make sure that the drop-down where you select the VAT is set to "none".

The display prices don't decide whether VAT is calculated or not - that setting just decides how they are displayed in your shop (net or gross).

Your right, thank you Terra! I figured out the real culprit...

For some reason Admin (osCommerce backend) created a second Tax Rate record in the database. So no matter how I adjusted the tax zones, osCommerce read from the original Tax Rate record. So I deleted the first record, and edited the second and set it to ID 1, so osCommerce would read the first and correct Tax Rate record. Viola! All is well now.

Thank you,
