thank you for Oscommerce. I do not have to write how happy I am I came acrros this work of geniuses.

 

I have a small puzzle.. to solve.....any suggestions would be appreciated.

 

I am trying to config shipping module... to add shipping cost per state to every dozen sold. And that is ok.. easy to ad as I can treat dozen as unit.

 

However, what I am trying to achive is:

 

1-12 bottles sold 1 shipping cost with varioations of prices as per state. Eg different to South Australia.. diffferent to Queenslad.

 

But then if someone bought 13 bottles.. shipping charges will increase for each state.

 

Let say it is 10 dollars to QLD per 12 bottles. ( up to 12) but then someone purchased 18 or 24 I would love to charge $20.00

 

Then same would apply to NSW $15 up to doz.. then increase with every dozen ..

 

Any suggestions.. ? I simply have no clue how to solve it. What I did I assigned at this moment charges to products.. as attributes.. But that is silly job.. as everytime .. charges change.. it would mean I need to update each.. and it will be huge job.

Have you looked through the shipping contributions? It seems to me I recall seeing a ship by quantity contribution. If not, you could edit one of the modules to add a certain amount to the total based on quantity without too much fuss.

Thank you for answer. I think I got by now clue. There is excellent contribution by Anita shipping by USA states.. so I might change it to Au.. and then add increase by numbers.

 

I will try.. But I will first check this contribution by quantity if there is in exisitence. If it works I will post it too as modified contribution...
