chgperformance
Hi new OS. I hae setup the system with a db and when a customer clicks on the confirm order button it then comes up with the next page, thank you bla bla bla. If you click continue at the bottom it throws up a CGI error, CGI Error The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers. The headers it did return are It dosnt return any. The next problem i have is, the customer doesnt recieve an email neither does the store owner (me). Obviously i need this to happen as the email to me would contain the middle credit card numbers. Cheers James

Guest
well as far as the email goes, you need to make sure your email is setup correctly in the Admin Control area Configuration > E-Mail Options If you are running on a Linux server you would probably want your E-Mail Transport method to be set to "sendmail". If you are on a windows box with a SMTP Mail server available you will set it to SMTP (which will require SMTP settings being set for that) To get a email sent to the administarator or anyone else for transactions In Configuration > My Store > Send Extra Order Emails To You will need to put an email adress in that field for additional emails to be sent to anyone besides the customer
chgperformance
The email settings are already for sendmail as im on a linux server. and the send extra emails are setup. Thanks for the info tho. Anyone else???

atkinsmike
I am getting a similar error on a Windows server (which does seem to be the main theme). An entry on the Microsoft site seems to imply that there might be an issue with IIS 6 where the buffer size is too low, and the responses coming back run into a problem. This is with PHP installed as a CGI module. Any success in your problem-solving? Mike Atkins
