bs2000
For those of us who know limited scripting or scripting dummies having to edit the PHP to add mods and contributes is such a headach plus it takes so much time. My Suggestion is to look at xoops.org content managment system and a contribute called contrib Install and make that the oscommerce contribute standard. Basicly what it is is this: The contrib is organized the same way as the main system such as catalog/admin ect. You upload the contrib into a folder with the organization in contact example: the contribute folder is multiple shipping, you upload that folder..inside thefolder contains the organization I was talking about. In the Admin section the contribute would show up and you can choose to install the mod, uninstall and update it. It then goes through and adds any changes to the tabels that it needs to and links the scripting to the oringinal but without perminitly changing the original code..Making it much easier to add or remove mods and not ruining the core program. bs2000
Hey Brandon did you check this out , maybe what you are talking about? http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...earch,installer Yeah that is what I am talking about however this mod has to have the modules conveted and that alone is complicated and there are very few contriubtes that support this. IF it was intagrated then all mods would have to be designed for it.
