Guest
Okay- first, I set up my catalog without SSL. Now how many files (and what are their names) for me to change from unsecure to secure SSL site. Seems to simple to just change the configure.php files in the includes sections of catalog & admin but want to make sure before I do it. Also my whole catalog would basically move from http://www.mystore.com/catalog to https://www.mystore.com/ssl/catalog which would redirect the customer to my hosts secure server at https://s.p10.hostingprod.com/@mystore.com Would doing this really mess up my catalog? Just would like to know now before I go adding lots of products and have things crash like last time (although it was my hosts problem in deleting me as a user that has caused me to have to re-install everything-simply adding me back on did not fix anything and I could not access the database- what a nightmare that was.) Next, On the contact us page the emails are not being sent, my error log is recording this: From address not in member domain. Message not sent My store configuration is set to my email address ( and I checked several times to make sure I entered it correctly), I have that same email address set up with my hosting company for php emails, Under email options I have it set to "stmp, LF, mime html true, verify thru dns false, and send emails true. The first time I installed Osc this did not happen but it is now and not sure why. My configuration is the same as last time. Thanks for any help! Pattie Any help on the emails is greatly appreciated. I can probably read and find all the ssl info pasted over the forums. Thanks! Pattie
Guest
Anyone know exactly how many files need changing to convert from http to https? Also, is it possible to only have some pages (like create account and checkout pages) on the ssl server while the rest is not? I have seen it on osc sites but they are heavily moded so I don't know how to follow what they did. I am still new to all of this but getting there. Thanks, Pattie
♥Vger
The emails are not being sent because you don't have a domain based email service being provided by your hosts. They probably provide you with mail addresses which are not "[email protected]" but "[email protected]" and hence the error message "From address not in member domain. Message not sent" Vger

They probably provide you with mail addresses which are not "[email protected]" but "[email protected]" and hence the error message "From address not in member domain. Message not sent" Vger Thanks for mentioning that. However my email address is [email protected] which is my domain. I host with Yahoo. Perhaps the problem has to do with how they send the emails? I know if I set up my own form the submit button goes to me via my Yahoo user id. The only confusing thing is the very first vanilla instal of osc, the contact us page worked perfect. I got the email. They I use myphpadmin and installed a table to the wrong place (somehow I installed it as a database..go figure) and my first install crashed and I had a bugger of a time getting Yahoo to reset the database so I could reinstall. Ever since I can not get the contact us to work...but it did the first time. I know I can hack the code and change the contact us to a html page and by-pass the osc one but then it would not look like the osc contact us page. Oh well, Thanks!
