Guest Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 No I din't becouse i'm on windows and I don't know how to do it :( How do i do it ? Download the Smart ftp program (you can google for it) it was the only way I change the permissions as I host with Yahoo and don't have anything but them for viewing php pages and stuff. Per the instructions on the install you have to change the permissions on the following folders: catalog/images to 777 (read/write/execute) Then everyone can see the images. In smart ftp you open your website and then you navigation to the images folder and right click on it and select the change mod functions and a opo up window appears. You can then enter 777 and save it. Since your site is open in smart ftp the change is immediate and you should see a message that the chgmod was a sucess. Pattie

What I had to enter was my website but not with http:// as I host on Yahoo and had to use what they recommend for ftp transfers which is ftp.mysite.com and then added my username and password and use port 21 (which was already defaulted in the Smart FTP). That logged me on. Now everytime I go into Smart Ftp all my info is there and automatically logs me into the server. Hope this helps! Pattie

Pattie Quick thought too- you don't need to direct it to the specific file- just the domain because once it is open you will have all the folders there and after the connection is amde you can then toggle to the folder/file you need. Worm Posted January 15, 2007 Author Posted January 15, 2007 I can't connect :\. Btw I'm using EasyPhP so I think FTP doesn't work. Isn't there other way ? :(
