Content of shopping cart box

Hi. I am desperately looking for a bit of info for the new *** shop I am setting up.

 

when one or more items have been added to the cart they show up in the shopping cart box. I am trying to find the string or placeholder that puts it there.

 

I know that $cartbox puts the box where you want it but i want the content somewhere else ( without the box ) I thought it would be $cartcontent but that just puts in a link to the cart contents instead of displaying a small list like the cartbox does.

 

Any ideas anyone ?

the code for the shopping cart box is in catalog\includes\boxes\shopping_cart.php but those variables you mention are not part of the default code.
