hi guys, yes, i am a newbie but learning to be a pro just like you ;-)

i've uploaded all the files from 'catalog' directly into the root folder "www.mydomain.com/" made the /install and everything went great ("successful" confirmation), then it says that i have to create a folder named "backups" inside the admin folder and delete the 'install' (with everything inside it, right?), ok, deleted. now i go to the url www.mydomain.com and this message comes:

Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2) in /home/content/t/a/m/tam1nya/html/includes/functions/database.php on line 19

Unable to connect to database server!

what did i do wrong?

thank you in advance for your time and help
