blue skin template & fixed width

I am new to Oscommerce and am currenly trying to design a store.

 

I really like the look of the blue skin template, however whenever I try to apply this when also using the basic design fixed width template i obviously get a lot of problems.

 

Is there a way to have the blue skin template on and fixed width together?
