Pounds to Kilos & zones

Hi

I need to change the weight from pounds to kilos - where can I do this?

I've managed to add two new zones for shipping to Europe and the US - but only GB is showing up on my checkout screen for delivery.

Thanks in advance for your help

There are a number of forum threads that deal with this question. For example, see http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=197922.

The basic principle is that weight is anything you decide it to be, the only changes you need to make are in the language files that display the weight from "lbs" to kilos and ensure that you are consistent throughout your store.

One extra point to remember is that in the Configuration >> Shipping / Packaging there is an option to add a Package Tare weight and a Percentage increase for larger packages. This can be a cause for frustration when shipping weights don't match the products' weights.

When you set up the shipping modules, you determine which zones a particular shipping module applies to. If you set the zone to "--none--" then shipping will apply to all zones.

Hope this helped a little - Good luck
